Funds
K2 Capital has completed a round of funding for the Soteria Fund, a multi-asset vehicle with integrated AI-powered hedging strategies.

Hong Kong, Mar 2022: K2 Capital has officially closed funding for its Soteria Fund from accredited investors across Asia. Soteria is a fund led by Oliver Tedja and Ravi Chari, and is a multi-asset investment vehicle focused on trading equities, foreign exchange (FX), bonds, and natural gas, with integrated AI-powered hedging strategies.
The Soteria Fund was designed with resilience and adaptability at its core, actively managing exposure across global macro markets. It combines traditional asset classes, including blue-chip equities, sovereign and corporate bonds, FX pairs, and commodities like natural gas, with real-time analytics and quantitative models to optimize allocation and mitigate risk.
“Soteria isn’t just another multi-asset fund, it’s a living, learning system that dynamically responds to risk and opportunity,” said a K2 Capital portfolio manager. “AI allows us to go beyond static models and enter positions with greater confidence and precision.”
During its private seeding phase, the Soteria Fund delivered strong results driven by:
Directional bond trades during rate shifts, long/short FX strategies amid rising central bank divergence, natural gas spread trades leveraging seasonal volatility, and AI-driven hedges that successfully reduced portfolio beta during market pullbacks.
These performance indicators helped the fund quickly attract institutional capital from Asia and select family offices across the U.S. and Middle East, prompting a strategic close ahead of full capacity.
The Soteria Fund reflects K2 Capital’s broader thesis that AI is not a future add-on, but a present-day edge. With its in-house R&D teams and experience in building proprietary AI tools (such as through its venture studio Aether AI), K2 Capital is uniquely positioned to deploy advanced analytics across both private and public market vehicles.
